JOB SUMMARY:  Regularly directs the work of two or more full time employees.  Has authority to hire, fire and counsel staff. Interviews and selects personnel, recommends promotion, disciplinary action, and termination of employees as needed. Handle employee complaints and grievances. Helps plan and control the budget. Makes decisions about when to perform duties not listed above while still responsible for the success or failure of the business operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Ensures admission, transfer, discharge and registration functions are performed effectively and efficiently throughout the facility; that patient interactions are done courteously and efficiently so that patients may arrive at their point of service as quickly as possible; and that patient information is gathered correctly and completely to ensure timely and accurate billing.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Ability to plan, coordinate and direct complex activities; familiar with information systems, knowledge of third party payment methodologies, ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding, medical terminology and financial counseling; strong written and oral communication skills required.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:   High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred; clinical experience helpful but not required.
